Our Place In History

Videoconference Study Groups

Each month, teachers will participate in study groups over video with their grade level peers to share how they are translating the course activities to their classrooms.  These sessions will help build the course participants' professional development community, providing a regular contact with their colleagues.

Resources Discussed at the Study Groups

1. In the "Decisions: Immigration" activity, students play the role of the President of the U.S., facing the dilemma of on-going immigration and U.S. immigration policy. This activity includes a teacher guide and student reference books. For more information about the "Decisions, Decisions" series, go to Tom Snyder Productions.
